About the Journal
The main aim of the IMDC-IST 2025 is to provide a forum for academics, researchers, and developers from both academia and industry to share and exchange their latest research contributions and identify practical implications of emerging technologies to advance the wheel of these solutions for global impact. In line with the fourth industrial revolution goals and its impact on innovation, IMDC-IST 2025 is devoted to increasing the understanding and impact of emerging technologies on individuals, organizations, and societies, and how Agentic AI applications have recently reshaped these entities. IMDC-IST 2025 focuses on innovations and intelligent systems shaping the future of artificial intelligence.
Agentic artificial Intelligence (Agentic AI) is expected to be the next technological shift that will radically change people’s lives and business models. Agentic AI systems are designed to autonomously make decisions and act, with the ability to pursue complex goals with limited supervision. It brings together the flexible characteristics of large language models (LLMs) with the accuracy of traditional programming. The applications of the Agentic AI have expanded beyond entertainment games to include social commerce, education, tourism, sales, and healthcare. Industrial sectors have undergone a radical transformation, driven by advances in emerging technologies such as generative AI. Generative AI models trained on big data enable recommendations, suggestions, and business model plans. Many companies are integrating the capabilities of generative AI with operational and strategic processes to enhance customer experience. For example, Pegasus Airlines introduced FlyBot, a ChatGPT assistant that provides travel planning services. Similarly, many companies have implemented AI in online travel agencies such as Expedia and Trip.com. These smart activities include innovative AI-based trip planning, services, and personalized recommendations. Google has implemented chatbot technology through Gemini Advanced chatbot to provide exceptional features and plans for customers during travel. Companies have also improved operational efficiency and user experiences using AI-based platforms such as Kayak and OpenTable. Generative AI has invaded industrial and service operations. Hamilton Hotel chain is implementing an AI-powered chatbot that solves customer problems and enhances service efficiency. The use of generative AI and agentic applications is growing across various industrial sectors. Such tools have the unique ability to generate personalized and creative content and offer context-aware, innovative, and adaptive solutions. AI applications have expanded at an astonishing pace. OpenAI recently released a model called o3 that surpasses human capabilities and expertise in performing complex tasks. Since the launch of AI applications such as ChatGPT, Stable Difusion, and Deepseek, there has been widespread debate about the capabilities of these systems. AI applications have rapidly made their way into academic publications, advertising coverage, and funded research projects. However, only modest attempts have been made to identify and study the effective role of AI in innovation. Agentic AI reconceptualizes value creation. To this end, addressing agentic AI and innovation is a hot research topic that contributes to improving the lives of communities and developing technologically sustainable nations.
